Almost a full day since I left Puerta Vallarta. It's been a challenging 20 hours.

Light wind out of the West in Banderas Bay. I tacked back and forth making reasonable progress until the wind all but died. I motored until I was out of the Bay and could set a course to the Marquesas about 8 pm.

Over night I had everything from 0 wind to getting "high" wind alarms, I had the alarm set for 25 kts and wind angles from dead on the nose to dead down wind. Currently it's blowing about 6 1/2 kts and I'm zooming along at 3 kts. Fortunately the sea state is benign with rather confused 1 to 2 ft waves and no appreciable swell.
