I had a fantastic sail today from Puerto Santo Tomas to Punta Colnett. The wind was light and variable this morning but increased in to the high teens to low twenty's. I sailed most of the day with a full main and my big 150 genoa. It was glorious with a best speed of 8.3 kts. Once the wind got up to the 20s, it was time to roll up the genoa and unroll the jib.
The fun had to end I suppose. About 1500 the wind started to slack, that coupled with the fact that I was still about 12 miles from the anchorage and wanted to be anchored before dark at about 1700, I fired up the engine and motored the last few miles/hours.
