I've had decent winds for the last couple of days I'm making decent progress sailing with a reefed main and the jib.
My route has me skirting the northern side of the ITCZ, making my way to approximately 10 degrees N x 125 degrees W where I'll cross the ITCZ., and the equator, a major milestone. From there it will be heading to about 10 degrees S x 140 degrees W where I'll make landfall at Hiva Oa.
It's raining today and i can't complain, after the dry conditions in La Cruz along with the incessant bird shit from the Greater Frigate birds who like to roost on the top of the mast at night, it's nice to maybe wash some of the six months of La Cruz dirt off the boat.
