With some sadness, I left Morro Bay at noon today. The day started out with light wind 3 to 5 kts. About a half hour ago at about 1430, the wind picked up into the low to mid 20 kt range. I'm currently sailing on a broad reach at about 150 deg.TWA with a reefed main and jib and making 7 1/2 to 8+ kts with about 50 nm to go until I round Point Conception about 2100 this evening if I can maintain my current speed.

Hey Pat - I saw you are getting close to San Diego; also that you passed by Port Hueneme. Not sure if you recall; but that is where NSF Antarctic cargo all ships from. One giant annual cargo lift. From there to Christchurch for any additional heavy lift stuff; then off to McMurdo. Miss the boat and miss the year. Looks lime youre having great time! I remember Moro Bay. Pretty cool. Cheers
