I've had a lovely stay in Morro Bay at the Morro Bay Yacht Club. Everyone has been super friendly.

Last night, Wednesday, the club had a wine tasting get together that I was invited to. Each week on Wednesday evening the Yacht Club has a wine tasting where they pick a different vetiatal and everyone brings a bottle. This week it was merlot, unfortunately I don't have a merlot on the boat so my offering was a 2014 Washington State Cabernet. One of the club members is a sommelier and honored me with the best selection. Meeting new friends and sharing time, stories and good wine was the perfect ending to my stay here.

I leave for Ventura about noon today and should arrive in Ventura tomorrow morning after rounding Point Conception, notorious for it's being potentially dangerous. I think I'll have a fairly easy passage with expected wind between 10 and 15 kts and seas about 3 to 6 ft (1 to 3 meters).
