Up at 0700 and off anchor at 0800 I left Becher Bay. Unfortunately the fog filled in immediately so it was radar and dodging fishing boats at 2 to 3 kts hoping to not run into anything or anyone. There were a few occasions where the crazy fishing boats would pop out of the fog at over 20 kts within 50 feet, truly a scary situation. Luckily, as I neared Victoria the fog lifted and I was able to put up the main and genoa and enjoy a wonderful broad reach sail across the bay outside Victoria and around Discovery Island heading up Haro Strait in 12 to 15 kts of wind. As I neared the north end of San Juan Island in the Strait the wind built again to over 25 kts. Back to rolling up the genoa reefing the main and unrolling the jib. I hoped to maintain the broad reach until I had to make the turd around Stuart Island to head to Bedwell Harbour but as luck would have it the wind died and I had to motor for the last 9 miles into Bedwell.

After another 41 nm, (120 nm from Barkley Sound to Bedwell in two days) I anchored in Bedwell Harbour at 1805 completing my full circumnavigation of Vancouver Island starting and ending in Bedwell with a total of 990.5 NM.
