Made the short 17 NM trip from Gorge Harbor to the Octopus Islands, and was able to actually sail for about a half hour 😊.

There were maybe 11 boats in all of Waiatt bay. There's an old shack on an island near the entrance to the bay that cruisers leave driftwood with their boat name and other memorabilia. The shack is a truly awesome place with thousands of items that have been left for all time. Octopus Islands is a serene place that I feel fortunate to be able to have spent many wonderful days and nights at anchor.
