Stopped in Tahsis at the Westview Marina. Primarily to pickup a dinghy repair kit that was shipped in from Campbell River and to do a bit of shopping at the grocery store. To be honest there's not much to draw a cruising boat here. The marina is way too expensive the Owner John, seems to know he can charge exorbitant prices because he's the only "game in town". The store in Tahsis had limited groceries so that wasn't as successful as I had hoped, but there is a small restaurant there. We had lunch and met and chatted with a couple of local fellows, Barnacle Bill and Dave. Bill worked for many years on tugs moving goods, supplies, and log booms around the adjoining inlets and sounds. Dave had spent is life and career in construction in various location on the Island and was at one time the Mayor of Tahsis. Both men were a wealth of information and stories and insight into the nooks and crannies that make up the sound and area.

We left Tahsis and went south a few miles to McBride Bay near the Tahsis narrows and found a small cove to anchor in.
